It recently came to my attention that six years ago, members of two mid level, 80's hair bands Britny Fox & Bulletboys, & Chavis Records
STOLE, rerecorded, released, and toured with a song I wrote in 2005 with my unsigned band Soulshake, called "She Likes Girls".
Here is an outline of information that can all be found publicly online. You be thr judge.
First, the songs:
Soulshake - "She Likes Girls" copyright 2005 from the CD "Your Dirty Little Secrets"
Infringed version
ModernSuperstar - "She Likes Girls" released 5/3/2011

I have had to do six years worth of back track research in the last few days, deep web searches, phone calls and emails to get to the bottom of the story of HOW,
two people I have never met in my life, managed to hear, and steal this song, and have the audacity to claim that they wrote it themselves.
& Do me a favor.... Hit the share button.
these guys are actively trolling and trying to remove posts.
(Gonna be hard though...)

Second- When you are dealing with an intellectually inferior person, they post rants like this & the others below:
Now Ryche, with all that awesome wisdom he possesses has a few misconceptions.
He thinks that at some point, Kato, Joe & Ray had the right to verbally agree that the song can be rerecorded by them.
Nope..... I own the lyrics....(I wrote them). and the melody (I own it) , and I own 1/4 of the music ( I wrote all of it, with the exception of the bridge, written by Joe Higgins) & golly gee, I just happen to have the signed copyright papers returned to me from Washington in 2005.
as a gesture of good will, Kato & Ray were given songwriting credit.
In fact, FIVE of the ten songs on the CD "Your Dirty Little Secrets" were written, COMPLETELY by me, and treated the same way.

at no point in time did I agree too, enter in any agreement too, or allow anyone to reproduce my creation. Verbally, written, or otherwise.
Soulshake as an entity, was no more after my departure....it was a corporate entity, in which I, am the President.
Kato, Ray and Joe, could not perform anything with my copyright owned lyrics and melody and were told so in writing on more than one occasion.
and a very nice try at slander....little Ryche.... I'm not running, from anything. is that why YOU, ran to Florida?

(By the way, Ive got lots of emails from other bands & parties that have loads of information to supply regarding your "tenure & release" from bands.
Lets talk about your departure from SoR shall we? You start.... Then ill tell the truth.
Then lets talk about "Blue" from the bulletboys.
Go ahead, we're waiting.
Nope he makes pot shots at my mother.
A 70 year old lady mourning the loss of her husband of 47 years.
(Kato called Ryche the night i found all of this out and tried to take his side by offering information, like where i live, his thoughts on why i moved....((i have those messenger emails too)).
See the reason Kato says things, is to give you false information to slander me with. This way, I have more on you, and less on him.
If you can prove something, say it...

What amazes me about both of you, is your complete lack of integrity. One would think, as an artist, you would find great offense in the theft of someones song, and claiming it as your own. oh, but wait, your not an artist, your a thief.
Whilst defending yourself to your "friends", why don't you give them all the facts. like :
even if you legally license a song, IT DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO SAY YOU WROTE IT.
and speaking of said license, I can't wait for you to produce one. Or Highvol, aka Chavis, aka Jamsync to produce one.
Based on your glob of uneducated banter, do you even know how, licensing works?
"Mechanical" has nothing to do with it.
Either way, you cant produce one. I never signed a "publishing" agreement.
In all the years since soulshakes demise, I have been the only one, trying to keep the music alive.
and up until the finding out of all this information, Those other two members.....were calling ME, to write with THEM.
so before you go around blasting fiction, find out your facts, Like I have.

have I been eloquent enough for you now?
I did not use big words on purpose.
I did not use big words on purpose.
I realized in my first post about this, my temper was hot, my feelings hurt, and I was confused by this blatant raping of my art.
because lets face it, thats what you did, you raped my intellectual property...and I'm the one that came off too strong? I don't think so.
Facebook deleted it. because you complained.
My webhosting company had me down for ONE day again because you cried.......the truth hurts.
well..... they can't delete this one...it's all true.

Soulshake, was formed in 1999 by myself, with a handful of songs I had written and recorded on a demo.
I then placed ads, for members.
After a couple of personnel changes, an independent CD release, and a brand new relationship with Shock Jock Leslie Gold's Radio Chick program on WNEW

We found ourselves with a small tour of California, were asked to play Madison Square Garden with Comedian Chuck Nice,
were asked to Headline performances for Guitar Center at BB Kings
and a support set with The Smithereens at The Rock and Roll hall of fame in Cleveland Ohio.
We found ourselves in a tough situation, as we were without a drummer.
All this was booked before "Kato" was asked to join the band. He, rode my coattails.

So you see, these, ARE MY accomplishments. pssssst......and I'm unsigned....what did you do?
In 2003, soulshake was finalized by Myself, Ray Schneller, Joe Higgins, and the addition of drummer Jianni "Kato" Peragine.
in 2004, we pooled all of our money together, and hired Producer Tomas Costanza, (formerly of Warner Bros. band Diffuser) and recorded Soulshake's "your dirty little secrets album" Track number three, is a song we wrote called "She Likes Girls".

In fact, here is a copy of a press clipping from 2006, with a review, imagine that...She Likes Girls.
For the next 3 years, we did everything in our power as a band with Zero help to promote the record. I worked very hard, upwards of 100 hours a week for years, on top of a day career, on top of raising a family with small children. We got a lot accomplished in all those years. Thanks to my pushing and planning. This record being both our shining moment, and the moment that shattered the band. Pressures to keep it all up, at 100% were impossible, and we imploded.
I never claimed to be the best singer, the best guitar player, or the best song writer. I've never claimed to be or do more than my actual talents can prove on their own merit. Can you say the same? but I must have been alright for you to steal something I created.
at some point, between 2007 and 2010, "Kato" was hired to play in an illegal version of Britny Fox with Billy Childs (the only original member) and unknown singer Jaime Fletcher and unknown guitarist Greg Polcari.
This band was quickly issued a stop order, as Billy Childs rejoined the Rest of The Britny Fox original lineup. (there is a lot more to that story too, but thats Bill Childs problem)
Somewhere in here, "Kato" struck an arrangement with Jaime Fletcher, who was working with Tattoo Tony Rodriguez from Bret Michaels Rock of Love Fame to let him (Jaime), rerecord the song, and present it to Bret Michaels. There was also a plan to use it for a reality show that never came to be called; "Tattoo Tony's Under My Skin" supposedly for VH1
"Kato" did this without informing all of the writers of the song. He had asked if he could try marketing the song, and that was the end of it, We have not spoken, since 2007.
Probably one of the shadiest and most underhanded things you can do to a band member, besides sleep with his wife.
While Jaime was working with Tattoo Tony, he also had an opportunity to Start a band, with Former Bulletboys drummer Ryche Green. ( I know, right?) Modern Superstar.
Jaime then introduced the song to Ryche, and they included it in all of their PRE RELEASE press emails to Blabbermouth, Loudwire, Metal Underground, Hard Rock Haven, MARR, Sleeze Roxx, and many others with one of the "working titles" of the songs being " She Likes Girls" for their album "Under My Skin."
within a few months, Modern Superstar recorded and release the album "Under My Skin" on Jamsync Records on MAY 3, 2011, with the song "She Likes Girls" with the writing credits of Fletcher/Green and begin claiming in interviews that the CD is selling out, the same day it is stocked.

Modern Superstar Video Interview (The Aquarian)
six years later, while standing next to the other two members of Soulshake, who are down here in Florida this week, I come across the song, on Itunes, Amazon, Spotify, and Pandora attributed to Modern Superstar songwriters Fletcher/Green
I find multiple youtube videos of the song being played live by Fletcher, and again by Modern Superstar.

when I contact them:
Green blames Fletcher/Peragine
Fletcher doesnt respond (wiser of two..?.)
this is why Bands, should never hire SCABS. your hiring guys, that are not qualified on their own. These are guys with Talent...but only to reproduce what someone else slaved over. The bottom line is, Both Jamie Fletcher, and Ryche Green have amounted to nothing. They've created nothing original, and have spent entire careers, living off of the work of others.
Mr. Peragine on the otherhand, is 60 years old, and has failed at EVERY attempt he has ever made on his own. This is why he made the arrangement with these SCABS to begin with, this is why he accepted a position in the band, after the hardest work was already done.
Bottom line really is this. I'm aware that both bands are unhappy with their names being added to this....it's not fair.
BUT these guys still go around attaching themselves to YOU, you.. Hired them at some point to represent your brand.
Guilty by association.
You should protect your legacy and reputation by exposing these frauds for what they are.

It still took lil ole me, to show you they also stole a BULLETBOYS song six years ago...
Listen for yourselves
